Gionee this year has taken to MWC to launch their latest smartphone, the Gionee A1. The latest smartphone from Gionee packs some great hardware, refreshing software and a lot more. Let’s take a quick look at what the phone has to offer.
The Gionee A1 packs a 5.5 inch Full HD AMOLED display giving it a pixel density of 401PPI. The display also is covered by Gorilla Glass 4 giving it protection against drops and scratches. The A1 comes encased in a uni-body aluminum shell which not only looks good but also feels premium in the hands. Under the hood, the phone packs an octa-core Mediatek MT6755 Helio P10 processor along with the Mali-T860MP2 GPU. The processor is backed by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The phone also supports dual-sim cards and is 4G capable.
In the camera side of things, the Gionee A1 packs a f/2.0 13MP rear camera accompanied by a LED flash. The phone also has a f/2.0 16MP for all your selfies. Software-wise, the phone runs Android 7.0 Nougat with Gionee’s own custom skin, Amigo 4.0 layered on top of it. Just sitting below the rear camera is what everyone assumes to be a fingerprint scanner but it just the Gionee logo displayed in a fancy way. And speaking of a fingerprint scanner, the A1 has one embedded into its home button. Other sensors include an Accelerometer, Proximity, compass, and a gyroscope. And finally, powering the device all up is a large non-user removable 4010mAh battery. This will be more than enough to get users through a day and a half of moderate to heavy usage without any issues. And if the charge does run out, there is the inclusion of fast charging capabilities.
Overall, the offerings of the Gionee A1 are very good and we are impressed by it. The phone will be available from the 15th of March here in Nepal for a competitive price of around Rs 36,000. This definitely is an exciting news and we can’t wait for the phone to launch here. Once it does we will make sure to notify you through our Facebook page and other social media platforms.
