And the day finally did come. Gionee called out their first Bloggers Meet and the overall experience was quite pleasant. The bloggers meet primarily focused on their upcoming smartphone, the Gionee A1. If you have been tired of seeing Gionee S6 Pro ads all over the place, rest assured, you are going to see that change. For Gionee, the A1 is the next big thing and in this article, we will see exactly why.
Let’s talk about the bloggers meet first. Our entire blogging community was present in the meet including Gadgetbyte Nepal, Gadgets in Nepal, Delta Digit, E-Nepsters, TechLekh, TechnoSanta as well as Mobiles Khabar.
Since it was the first bloggers meet, we were all excited. When our team reached to the event, everything was well setup and representatives from the Gionee team were very welcoming (mind you, it doesn’t happen all the time as you would expect. At times, we are there for the event and there’s no-one and there’s nothing in there). Everything was well setup and things looked professional. Though the meet started around 30 minutes late, it was due to the bloggers who were late and nothing to do with the organizers.
During the meet, the Gionee team talked about Gionee phones and its present status in the Nepalese smartphone market. There was also talk on the Gionee S6s and Gionee S6 Pro which sold like in huge numbers in Nepal.
The main topic of the Gionee Bloggers Meet was the Gionee A1. From the brief time we had with the Gionee A1 phone, the phone itself looks very promising. Gionee A1 comes with 4GB of RAM and has 64GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via Micro-SD card. The phone has 5.5″ Full HD IPS Display. Sadly though, the company decided to put a relatively old MediaTek P10 SoC under the hood. Apart from that, the phone is really good. We will update you about the phone in the coming days.
