There are 3 smartphone brands in Nepal that sell phones like crazy. Samsung, Huawei and Gionee dominate the Nepalese smartphone market. And it is no surprise that it is the mid-range smartphone market that is doing so well. Taking that into consideration, Gionee has launched the Gionee P7 Max. The price of Gionee P7 Max in Nepal is Rs.21,999 and is available through all the outlets across the country.
Let’s start with the specification of the Gionee P7 Max:
- 5.5″ 720p Display
- 3GB of RAM
- 32GB Internal Storage
- 2.2GHz MediaTek Octa-Core Processor
- 13MP Rear Camera
- 5MP Front Camera
- 3100mAh Battery
One thing to note is that the Gionee P7 Max only supports 3G network. When 4G comes to Nepal (and it is coming very soon), you won’t be able to enjoy high-speed network in this phone. However, we are pretty much sure that it will take two years or more for 4G to go mainstream. Apart from that, there is very little not to like about this phone. It has got all the boxes checked. And the other thing we really appreciate about the P7 Max is the fact that it comes with Android 6.0 out of the box.
The 5.5″ 720p may not be very sharp but gets the job done. One thing that is sorely missing in this phone is fingerprint scanner and also the front flash seen on the Gionee S6s.
The Gionee P7 Max is already available for purchase throughout Nepal. And since it is sold offline (in stores), you can pretty much get this phone for around Rs.20,000. And at that price, we think this phone is a steal. It’s amazing to see such good phones for very little money.
