Gionee has been in the Nepali market for quite a while. So it’s no surprise to us that they know what Nepalese love. The Gionee S6s is a perfect example of that. Let’s ask ourselves what we really want in our smartphone. And let’s see if the Gionee S6s checks out all the important boxes.
The Gionee S6s is a mid-range phone which can be bought for just Rs.26,000. Let’s first list the things that the Gionee S6s is good at:
- Beautiful 5.5″ Full HD Display
- Impressive Front and Rear Camera (Galaxy J7 2016 has better rear camera though)
- Good battery life
- Latest version of Android
- Finger-Print Scanner
- Front Flash
- 32GB Internal Storage with Micro-SD expansion
And here’s a list of things that is missing or lacking in the Gionee S6s. They include:
- Mediocre Performance
- Lack of NFC
- Lack of Quick Charging
- Average audio performance
We have used the phone for 2 weeks and we are mostly liking it. Expect a full review of the Gionee S6s in next week. The Gionee S6s faces tough competition from Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and soon to be launched Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 and soon to launch Galaxy J7 Prime.
