Hyundai Xcent launched in Nepal

Laxmi Intercontinental, the dealer of Hyundai vehicles in Nepal has just launched Hyundai Xcent in Nepal. Hyundai Xcent is Hyundai’s entry-level Sedan based on Grand i10. Hyundai Xcent competes with Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire and Honda Amaze.

Hyundai Xcent launched in NepalHyundai Xcent is very much identical to Hyundai Grand i10. If you have seen the Grand i10 or driven it, you will know exactly what you are getting in Xcent. Just like Grand i10, Xcent is powered by VTVT 1.2L Petrol Engine. What you get in the Xcent that you don’t in Grand i10 is Automatic Climate Control in the top SX Variant. You also get two-tone diamond cut Alloy wheel in the Xcent.

The interior of Xcent is really nice. You get good head room and leg room. In the top variant, you get best in class features like Bluetooth Connectivity, A/C cooled glove box, rear parking camera and sensors. In addition, you also get rear A/C vents and arm rest at the back. The audio player has internal memory of 1GB.

There are two engine options available: 1.1L CRDi Diesel Engine and 1.2L VTVT Petrol engine.  These are the same engine found in the Grand i10. However, Hyundai Engineers have tweaked the engine and made it more efficient and more powerful. Ride quality is smooth and the car feels planted. The clutch is light and won’t be a problem in city traffic. Steering wheel feels accurate too. One thing to note though is that Xcent feels under powered at times especially while picking up speed. The 15″ diamond cut alloy wheels look great too.

If safety is your concern, Hyundai has got you covered. Sadly, Airbag and ABS is available only on the top-end variant. The SXO variant gets Dual SRS Airbags along with ABS and EBD. Rear parking camera and sensors help while parking the car too. The rear view mirrors can be folded electronically.

In terms of convenience, you get Push Start button so you don’t have to search your pockets for keys. The cooled glove box keeps fruits and beverages cool even during a hot day. Bluetooth acontrols nd steering mounted controls makes it easier to drive and control the car at the same time.

Three variants of Xcent are currently offered in Nepal. You can choose from Base, S and SXO model. The car gives 19.1 mileage in test condition. The different models are priced between Rs 2.49 million and Rs 3.19 million.

The Xcent Base is priced at Rs 2.496 million,  Xcent S is priced at Rs 2.796 million and Xcent SX(O) at Rs 3.196 million. These cars will be available in a range of six new colour options.
