An American brand, Infocus, has recently launched the Infocus Epic 1 in Nepal for an asking price of Rs.31,990. It also happens to their flagship phone for Nepal. It aims to take on the highly competitive mid-range smartphone market. The Epic 1 directly competes with Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 as well as the OnePlus 2. Does the Epic 1 pack enough punch to reach the top? Let’s find out!
Infocus Epic 1 is also one of the very few phones to sport the Helio X20 Deca-Core Processor. If you are looking for specs of the phone, we have got you covered:
- 5.5″ Full HD Display
- Helio X20 Deca-Core Processor
- 3GB RAM
- 32GB Internal Storage
- USB Type-C Connector
- IR Blaster
- 16MP Rear Camera with PDAF autofocus
- 8MP Front Camera with f/1.8 lens
- 3000mAh Battery with fast charging
When we look at the specs of the specs of the Infocus Epic 1, we have to admit that it is a well-put package. From the display to the Camera to the SoC to the Battery, Infocus has nailed it all. Tthe phone is very similar to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. If you have to decide between the two, this is what you need to know. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4(32GB) is cheaper than the Infocus Epic 1 but at the same time, the Epic 1 hits back with better front and rear cameras. In addition to that, Infocus Epic 1 has USB Type-C connector (which is the future) instead of the regular Micro-USB cable found on the Redmi Note 4.
It’s up to you to decide if you are willing to invest your money in a phone that is relatively new in Nepal. If you like changes and are always looking to try something new out, you won’t go wrong with the Infocus Epic 1. The company also promised to provide software updates for at least a year before the phone is phased out. Overall, we think it is a really good phone you should look out for.
