Exclusive: Ivvi, a new brand, to enter Nepal with two new smartphones

Ivvi, a Chinese OEM is all geared up to enter Nepal and compete in the already crowded smartphone market. For those of you who don’t know, Ivvi was a sub-brand of Coolpad back in the days and specialized in designer phones. And now the company is independent and makes gorgeous looking smartphones specially targeted towards young people. According to what we have heard, the company plans to debut in Baisakh of 2074 with their two new smartphones. Let us take a quick look and what they have to offer to the people of Nepal.

Ivvi is planning to enter Nepal with a bang with two new smartphones, namely the Ivvi V1M and the SK5. The Ivvi V1M is the budget-friendlier option among the two which packs a 5.5 inch HD display with a pixel density of 267PPI. Under the hood, it packs a Quad-core 1.0Ghz processor backed up by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.The internal storage can be further expanded via a micro-sd card up to 32GB. The phone also does support dual sim cards and is 4G capable. In the camera department, the phone packs an 8MP rear camera accompanied by a LED flash. The phone also has a 2MP front camera for all your selfies. In the software side of things, the phone runs Android 7.0 Nougat with Ivvi’s own custom skin, Yun OS 5.1.1 overlaid on top of it. And finally, the phone is powered by a respectable 2500mAh non-user removable battery. This will be more than enough to get users through a full day of moderate to heavy usage without any issues.

And the second smartphone is the Ivvi SK5 which is a mid-range smartphone. It packs a 5.5 inch Full HD display with a pixel density of 401PPI. The SK5 comes encased in a uni-body aluminum shell which not only looks good but also feels premium in the hands. Under the hood, it packs an Octa-core 1.4Ghz processor backed up by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.The internal storage can be further expanded via a micro-sd card up to 64GB. The phone like its younger brother does support dual sim cards and is 4G capable. In the camera department, the phone packs a 13MP rear camera accompanied by a LED flash. The phone also has an 8MP front camera for all your selfies. Just sitting below the rear camera is a fingerprint scanner for added security. In the software side of things, the phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Ivvi’s own custom skin, Yun OS overlaid on top of it. And finally, the phone is powered by a 300mAh non-user removable battery. This will be more than enough to get users through a full day of moderate to heavy usage without any problems. The price of these phones are not yet confirmed but one thing is for sure that they will be priced super competitively.
