Obi Worldphone has been coming up with new phones to Nepal and the company has just come up with a new one. The Obi MV1 is here in Nepal and that too for a very attractive price. Obi Worldphone had set up a bloggers meet where blogging channels like DeltaDigit, TekhLekh, GadgetByte Nepal, Gadgets in Nepal, TechnoSanta and Momo Tech Nepal were present.
The bloggers meet primarily talked about the latest phone of the company, the Obi MV1. The ‘MV1’ in the name of the phone stands for Mount View. Whatever be the name of the phone, one thing is for sure, the phone looks good. We only played with the Obi MV1 for a while and the design of the phone was what stood out the most.
If you are curious, this is what you get (in terms of specs)when you buy the Obi MV1:
- 5-inch Fully Laminated 720p HD IPS Display
- Sunlight Display Technology
- Snapdragon 212 Quad Core CPU
- 2GB of RAM
- 16GB Internal Storage
- 8MP Rear Camera
- 2MP Front Camera

Here are some of the shots of the Obi MV1 which we took during the event:
There are three phones that Obi Worldphone is selling today. The Obi MV1 joins the Obi SJ1.5 and the Obi SF1 and is priced in between. Also, we found that the design of the phone is the mixture of the previously released phones. The Obi MV1 comes with Cyanogen OS 12.1.1 which is based on Android Lollipop. Also, since it is a cyanogen OS we are dealing with, future updates is all but certain.
We will soon be posting our hands-on experience with the phone. There is a lot to like about this phone but also few things that are not so impressive. The price of Obi MV1 in Nepal is Rs.15,610.
