Just when you thought the Poco M2 is the best phone you to buy under Rs. 20,000 in Nepal, the company has launched its successor- the Poco M3. However, it’s worth noting that the phone just launched internationally yesterday. So, it will take some time for it to debut in Nepal.
Unlike Samsung’s mid-range phones that have different names but share most of the hardware components, with Poco, it is quite different. The Poco M2 and the M3 share the same screen and that’s where the similarities end. Compared to the Poco M2, the M3 has a different processor inside, a different camera system, and a different battery capacity.
Here’s a quick run-down of the specification of the Poco M3:
Poco M3 Specifications
- 6.53-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD Display
- Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Protection
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC
- 4GB of RAM
- 48MP+2MP+2MP camera
- Full HD Video Recording
- 8MP f/2.1 selfie camera
- 6000mAh battery
- Bluetooth 5.0
- 18W Fast Charging
One element that is very unique to the Poco M3 has to be its design. The rear design is what differentiates this phone from the rest of the mid-range phones. The design somewhat resembles the Nokia PureView 808 and I quite like it.
The front design, however, is uninspiring. The design is similar to most Redmi phones and looks identical to the Poco M2.
For a phone that should launch in Nepal for under Rs. 20,000, you really can’t go with the hardware features of this phone. There’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC ticking inside. This coupled with 4GB of RAM should offer decent to good gaming performance. For normal tasks such as watching YouTube and using Social Media apps, this phone will be more than enough.
We aren’t entirely sure when the Poco M3 will launch in Nepal. And considering the fact that the Poco M2 was launched not very long ago, we think it will be a while before the phone actually makes it to Nepal.
