Huawei Nova 3 and Nova 3i available nationwide

After the grand success with the Huawei Nova 2i, the company is bringing two new models to the market: the Huawei Nova 3i and the Huawei Nova 3. The two phones which were available for pre-order until yesterday will be available from retail stores across Nepal starting tomorrow.

All the pre-bookers who booked the phones during the pre-booking period also got their portable printer for the Nova 3 and portable speaker for Nova 3i.

Huawei managed to sell around 2000 units of the Huawei Nova 3 and 3i in just 2 hours! The pre-booking of the Huawei phones went really well. Huawei is looking to be the No.1 smartphone brand in Nepal.

There was a long queue of customers waiting to get their hands on the new Huawei phones. It’s a scene that we don’t see quite often in Nepal.uawei-nova-3-3i-launch-wait-nepal

  • 3340mAh Battery

  • Bluetooth 4.2

  • Micro USB 2.0 with OTG Support

The Huawei Nova 3i is the successor to the Huawei Nova 2i and comes with a host of welcome changes. For starters, you get the infamous notch that every phone in 2018 seems to get and minimal bezels all around. Thankfully though, the size of the notch isn’t all that big. But for me, personally, I don’t see notch as all that much of an issue.

Under the hood, you get the in-house HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC which is coupled with 4GB of RAM. It’s nice to see that the phone packs in 128GB of Internal Storage. What’s cooler is the fact that you can further expand the storage with the included Micro-SD Card slot.

There’s also 3340mAh battery which definitely lasts a whole day if not more. Sadly though, the company has opted for Micro USB port instead of the now standard USB-C port. It would have been great if the company launched the phone with USB-C port.

Huawei Nova 3i Price in Nepal

huawei-nova-3-3i-variants-nepalIf you were expecting the price of Nova 3i in Nepal to be on par with the price of its predecessor, you would be wrong. Thanks to the introduction of 5% excise duty on smartphones and exclusion of 40% VAT Rebate, we had seen it coming.

The price of Huawei Nova 3i in Nepal is Rs. 38,900.

We feel the phone is well priced for what it does. You will love the design, the display and the camera of the phone specifically.

huawei-Nova-3-camera-nepalThe Nova 3 is Huawei’s high-end offering. The phone comes packed with features and gets the same processor found in the P20 Pro. The first thing you will notice is the gorgeous 6.3-inch Full HD Display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio display. It’s a really high-quality panel and is pleasing to look at.

If you plan on using your phone for gaming or using any intensive apps on your phone, the Nova 3 has you covered. The Nova 3 comes with HiSilicon 970 SoC and is coupled with 6GB of RAM. The combination can handle any app or game you throw at it. However, it isn’t as powerful as the Snapdragon 845 SoC.

The camera on the Nova 3 is something that should get you excited. It’s got one of the best camera systems in the given price range. The phone gets a total of 4 cameras – 2 on either side of the phone. The front gets a 24MP+2MP setup while the rear gets a 16MP+24MP setup. Both the rear cameras come with f/1.8 aperture.

The phone takes breath-taking photos. During my time of testing the phone, I found that the phone has a really good dynamic range and quite a bit of detail in the photos. However, the ‘AI’ on the phone is more or less a gimmick. More often than not, I found toggling the AI feature On just boosted the saturation of the photos and nothing more.

All in all, the Huawei Nova 3 is a really good smartphone that surprised us with its great camera, great display, and excellent performance.

Price of Huawei Nova 3 in Nepal

The Huawei Nova 3 doesn’t cheap. But for the hardware it packs, the price is justifiable. However, it would have been a no-brainer if the company could launch the Nova 3 for a price of Rs. 50,000. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.

The price of Huawei Nova 3 in Nepal is Rs.59,900.
