Look, when you talk Samsung phones in Nepal, it’s either the low-end model like the Galaxy J2 or the mid-range smartphones like the Galaxy J7 or the J7 Prime and in the high-end segment, we have the phones like the Galaxy S7/ S7 Edge and the C9 Pro that is sold the most. There really wasn’t a good Samsung phone for around Rs. 15,000-20,000. Well, there’s where the Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro comes in. The price of Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro in Nepal is Rs.17,490 and we are going to talk about it now.
Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro is an entry level Samsung phone with a big screen. The Galaxy On7 Pro comes with a 5.5″ 720p TFT LED display (about which we talk down below), 2GB of RAM and 16GB of Internal Storage. Personally, I am not a big fan of this phone. Here is what you get with this phone:
- 5.5″ TFT LCD Display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC
- Adreno 306 GPU
- 2GB of RAM
- 13MP Rear Camera
- 5MP Front Camera
- 3000mAh Battery
- Dual SIM Slot
- 4G LTE enabled
While the phone sounds good on paper, in hand use of this phone isn’t all that great. Especially, the display is what ruins the user experience the most. I am not complaining about the 720p screen resolution but the TFT technology that is used on the phone. The viewing angle isn’t all that great and the screen looks washed out. Also, there isn’t anything new on the phone. The design is old school and reminded me a lot of the Galaxy Grand 2.
But if you can overlook those two distinct features, you can’t go wrong with the phone. The phone feels zippy and the software is up to date. In addition to that, you get localized features like the S-Bike Mode, Ultra Data Saving mode as well as the Ultra Data Saving mode. Thanks to the inclusion of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410, the phone also feels zippy. We are yet to use the camera extensively so we can’t comment much on that.
We will let you know more about the phone when get to extensively use it. As always thanks for reading this post and stay tuned as there’s more to come!
