During the launch event, we got to use both the Redmi Note 8 and the Redmi Note 8 Pro. The phones definitely looked and felt premium. The same cannot be said about most other phones in this price range.
It’s also worth noting that the phone is very feature-rich. The SoC is nearly flagship worthy and the display looked quite good too.
The talking point of the Redmi Note 8 Pro is undoubtedly its camera. The phone packs a 64MP primary camera on the rear of the phone. There’s also an 8MP wide-angle camera that is shared with the Redmi Note 8 as is the 2MP depth sensor and the 2MP wide-angle camera.
The Mediatek G90T is a new SoC from Mediatek which deserves a mention. While a lot of people think Mediatek processors are not on par with Qualcomm processors, it’s clearly not the case. In fact, the GPU on the phone is on par with that of the flagships.
Is the Redmi Note 8 Pro worth the money?
Definitely! The Redmi Note 8 Pro is probably the best phone you can get at around Rs. 30,000 mark. It has unquestionably the best performance of any phone in this price range and has a really good camera system. In addition to that, the display is really good too.
If that wasn’t enough, the 4500mAh battery and 18W fast charging seals the deal. If it were my money, I would definitely get the Redmi Note 8 Pro instead of the competition.
