Samsung Mobile has just launched the Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 in Blue color. The phone which is priced at Rs. 42,990 is now available in Black, Blue, Gold, and Pink color option. The phone comes with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage and has triple cameras at the back.
Samsung Galaxy A7 2018- Overview
With the Galaxy A7 2018, Samsung really wants to prove something – Huawei’s not the only company that can stick 3 cameras at the back. And that’s the main highlight of the phone, actually.
What you are getting is a 24MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 5MP depth-sensing camera. The front camera is no slouch either. It’s a 24MP f/2 camera which can take good looking selfies.
Just like the flagships, the mid-range Galaxy A7 2018 has a stunning design with glass on both the front and the back. It’s also got Infinity Display like the ones you will find on the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy Note 9. However, the screen isn’t curved on the sides and the bezels aren’t as small as I would have liked.
This, being a Samsung phone, it’s no surprise that the screen is good! The Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 features a 6″ Full HD+ Super AMOLED display which is probably the best display you will find in any phone in this class. It’s no QHD+ display but hey, even the S9 and the Note 9 come in with Full HD+ display setting turned on as default.

But it’s not all sunshine and rainbows with this phone. There’s two thing that’s really not likable about this phone. One, the phone features the old Micro-USB port that every manufacturer should stop using. It’s 2018 and we expect USB-C, to the least. And there’s no fast-charging of any kind on offer. That is a bummer.
Apart from the aforementioned niggles, there’s really not much to complain. In most of the other mid-range Samsung phones, we would almost always get to complain about the poor choice of SoC. But with the A7 2018, Samsung has it figured it out. The Exynos 7885 SoC with 4GB of RAM performs adequately.
The front 24MP selfie camera performs really well and is one of the best front cameras you can get in the market right now. The 3 cameras at the back also do a good job but aren’t on par with the phones like the Galaxy S9 or even the OnePlus 6T. When Samsung hyped up the phone as being the ultimate camera phone, we expected better. The rear cameras are good but won’t blow the competition out of the water.
Priced at Rs. 42,990, the Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 isn’t cheap. But, still, we find that it’s just as good if not better than the competition. What’s your take on the Galaxy A7? Do let us know in the comments section down below.
