Samsung Galaxy Note 10+: S-Pen Review

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ is the best smartphone you can buy in Nepal – there’s no doubt about that. And the one feature that makes it so different from the competition has to be the S-Pen feature.

The S-Pen has been there on the Note series of phones since the inception and it’s the main reason why so many people buy a Note phone.

I have been personally been using the Note series of the phone starting the Galaxy Note 2. And after all these years, I think it is one of the best features you can have on a smartphone.

Every year, we see new phones come out with better specs and better camera features but nothing has yet come up as a substitution to the S-Pen. And after launching 9 generations of Galaxy Note phones, I doubt there will be any manufacturer who will try to mimic it.

Enough with the story. Let’s talk about the S-Pen on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+.

Specification of the S-Pen on the Note 10+

  • 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity
  • 0.7mm user-replaceable Nib
  • Low energy Bluetooth support
  • Phone-specific S-Pen color
  • Use of supercapacitor for powering the Bluetooth module
  • Accelerometer and Gyroscope (new on the Note 10 compared to Note 9)
  • Retail Pirce: $30 (in case you lose yours)
  • Charges fully in 40 seconds!

The S-Pen on the Note 10+ has received a major overhaul when compared to its predecessors. This is the first time we are seeing Accelerometer and Gyroscope. This is in addition to the Bluetooth that was already present on the Galaxy Note 9.

This new Air gesture feature lets you remotely control your Galaxy Note 10+. You can wave the S-Pen to change settings, change camera modes and even use it to change songs.

The Bluetooth module that is built-in also makes using the phone wirelessly quite handy. It can come in handy for taking selfies and can also be used as a remote shutter. Not only that, you can use the button on the remote for controlling slides of your Powerpoint presentation.

Samsung also includes S Pen focused app – Samsung Notes on the phone. It lets you use all the features of the S-Pen.

The S-Pen only works on the display of the Galaxy Note phones. Forget other manufacturers, if you try to use the pen on the Galaxy S9 or the S10, it won’t accept the input. The pen exclusively works on the Note series of phones.

We think the S Pen is the best feature of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+. What’s your opinion? Let us know in the comments section down below.
