Xiaomi has just launched the Xiaomi Redmi 4A in Nepal and it is marked as the best entry level smartphone you can get for under Rs.15,000 in Nepal. Vatsal Implex, the sole authorized distributor of Xiaomi phones in Nepal has launched the Xiaomi Redmi 4A for the price of Rs.14,999.
When it comes to phones by Xiaomi, there’s always a question that is in back of every Nepalese mind, “Is this phone overpriced?” Well, it’s more expensive but it is very understandable. I really don’t get how people expect the phone to launch at the same price as in China. The phone isn’t produced locally so the company has to pay all the taxes. In addition to that, the phones have to be transported all the way from China. In addition to that, Xiaomi sells the phone through offline sources which means that it has to share its profit with the distributors and the retailers. There’s a lot to selling a phone than most people think.
Coming back to the phone itself, the Xiaomi Redmi 4A is one of the better phone you can get for under Rs.15,000 in Nepal. Unlike most of the entry-level smartphones which come with low powered year-old Mediatek CPU, Xiaomi has opted to go with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC which is a very respectable CPU. In addition to that, you get 2GB of RAM, 16GB Internal storage and the body itself is made from high quality plastic giving it a premium feel and look. The entire specs sheet of the Xiaomi Redmi 4A is as follows:
- 5-inch 720p HD Display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC
- 2GB RAM
- 16GB Internal Storage with expansion slot up to 128GB
- 13MP Rear Camera
- 5MP Front Camera
- 1080p Video Recording
- Android 6.0.1 Marshmellow
- 3120mAh Battery
That’s an impressive set of specs for a phone that costs under Rs.15,000. Not only that, I am surprised that a phone costing so less can record videos at 1080p. If that wasn’t enough, this phone also runs on 4G LTE Network which means you are good to go with Nepal Telecom 4G service.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4A can be purchased from Mi showrooms located at Labim Mall and Pako Newroad, Mi Nepal official website and authorized retail stores all over Nepal. We think that it is a really good smartphone. What opinion do you share? Do let us know in the comment section below. Also, do follow us on Facebook and Twitter. As always,
