Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 (32GB variant) launched in Nepal

Vatsal Impex, the authorized distributor of Xiaomi smartphones in Nepal has launched the 32GB variant of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. For those unaware, only the version with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage was available before. The newer variant of the Note 4 is priced at Rs 26,999 which is around Rs 3000 cheaper than the older one.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 as mentioned above keeps all the specs the same except for the RAM capacity and the internal storage. It packs a 5.5 inch Full HD display with a pixel density of 401 PPI. The phone also comes encased in a uni-body aluminum shell which not only looks good but also feels premium in the hands. Under the hood, the phone packs a Deca-core Mediatek MT6797 Helio X20 processor along with the Mali-T880 GPU. The processor is backed up 3GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. This is the only physical difference between the two variants of the Note 4. The memory can, however, be further expanded via a micro-sd card up to 256GB. The phone also does support dual sim cards but only at the expense of the expandable storage.

In the camera department, the Note 4 sports a f/2.0 13MP rear camera accompanied by a dual-tone LED flash. The phone also has a f/2.0 5MP front camera for all your selfies. Software-wise, the phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Xiaomi’s own custom skin, MIUI 8 overlayed on top of it. MIUI does bring a lot of useful features and functionality over stock Android. The phone also has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for added security. Other sensors include an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, and compass. And finally powering the device all up is a large 4100mAh battery. With battery this large and aggressive power management of MIUI, users will have no issues getting a full day worth of battery life.

For those of you who thought the 4GB variant of the Redmi Note 4 was too expensive, you can now buy the phone for some what cheaper price. But if I had to make a purchase I would totally go for the 4GB variant as adding Rs 3000 to get 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage over 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage is well worth it.
