ZTE Axon 7: The much needed smartphone in Nepal

Smartphones have become a prominent part of our day to day life. We use it to do almost everything and it has become more of a necessity than a need. With thousands and thousands of smartphones available in the market, it is difficult to choose the one just right for you. On top of that, to get that best of the best smartphone aka “flagship” you will probably have to spend a lot of money.

That was true until ZTE, a Chinese OEM came up with the Axon 7. It bridged the gap between a flagship and their high price tag. ZTE was able to create a premium device with flagship grade specification all at a price of a mid-tier smartphone. The ZTE Axon 7 truly is an amazing smartphone with its 5.5-inch Quad-HD display with a pixel density of 538 PPI. The display is also covered by Gorilla Glass 4 giving it protection against drops and scratches. The Axon 7 is also very well made with its sturdy unibody aluminum construction. The phone is built like a tank and has an amazing in-hand feeling.

Under the hood, the Axon 7 rocks  a Quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with the Adreno 530 GPU. The processor is backed by 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The storage can be further expanded via a Micro-SD card up to 256 GB. The phone also supports dual sim cards only at the expense of the Micro-SD card slot. In the software side of things the phone runs Android 6.01 Marshmallow with ZTE own custom skin, MiFavor UI 4.0 overlaid on top of it. The phone is due for a Nougat update, which the users will receive very soon in the days to come.

In the camera department, the phone houses a f/1.8 20MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash. The rear camera also comes equipped with OIS for steadier images and better low light performance. The phone also has an 8MP f/2.2 front-facing camera for all your selfies. And just sitting below the camera is a fingerprint scanner which will definitely add the level of security on this phone. The Axon 7 also has dual front firing speakers which are backed by a Hi-FI audio DAC and Dolby Atmos. This by default means an amazing media consumption experience. And finally powering the device all up is a 3250mAh non-user removable battery. This definitely will be more than enough to get users a full day of moderate to heavy usage without any issues. The phone also comes with USB type C and Quick Charge 3.0 for faster charging time.

The ZTE Axon 7 will be launching in Nepal this December for a price of Rs 55,000. This is quite a package considering the price and the features of the phone. The Axon 7 is a much-needed smartphone in Nepal as now people here can get their hands on a flagship-grade smartphone without having to spend an arm and a leg. This phone is very exciting and much needed as the Nepalese market is cluttered with underpowered smartphones with high price tag.
