Under the hood, the phone houses a Mediatek MT6735P Quad-core processor coupled with the Mali-T720MP2 GPU. The processor is backed up 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. The memory can be expanded via a Micro-SD card up to 256 GB. The phone runs very smoothly and handles day to day tasks like a champ. We were easily able to switch between apps without any problem. Playing light and moderate games were also unproblematic with the phone.

The Blade V7 Lite sports a 13 MP rear camera with a LED flash. The phone also has a 8 MP front camera for all your selfies. The front camera too is paired with a LED flash so that you can take selfies even in low light situations. Selfie enthusiasts will definitely find this package very enticing. The photos taken from both the camera are above average with plenty of details. And sitting just below the rear camera is a fingerprint scanner. ZTE claims that the fingerprint scanner takes 0.3 seconds to unlock the phone. And during our brief testing, the scanner seemed very snappy.

In the software side of things the phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with ZTE’s own custom skin MiFavor UI running on top of it. The UI more or less felt like vanilla Android with an icon pack and some other subtle changes. It, nonetheless, was snappy and lag-free for the most part. The software also comes with a slew of features and gestures like double tap to wake, shake to toggle the flashlight, to name a few.

Connectivity wise the phone supports dual Nano-Sim card and also a Micro-SD card as mentioned earlier. Other connectivity options include Wi-FI, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and micro USB 2.0. The phone is also 4G capable giving it necessary future proofing. And powering the device all up is a non-user removable 2500 mAh battery. This coupled with the 5″ 720p screen will be enough to get the users a full day worth of battery life.

So in conclusion, the ZTE Balde V7 Lite seems to be an amazing smartphone with a premium build, some decent specifications, and a fingerprint scanner. For a phone which is priced below Rs 20000, it is incredible how ZTE managed to pack a fingerprint reader and a premium build.  The price is also very competitive, and you are still getting a lot for it. Not only that but ZTE is also offering Rs 700 cash back and a 10,000mAh Rohs Power Bank with every purchase of the V7 Lite for this festive season. This definitely is a sweet deal I wouldn’t miss out on.
