Brace yourself people the most awaited smartphone lineup from ZTE, the Axon series is finally going to make its way here to Nepal. ZTE Nepal is gearing up to launch the Axon Mini at first among the many smartphones in the lineup.
The ZTE Axon Mini which was launched almost a year back in the international market is an amazing smartphone. It sports a 5.2-inch SuperAmoled display with a pixel density of 424 PPI. The phone also comes encased in an airplane grade aluminum alloy with the back cover being made out of polycarbonate plastic with a metallic coating. The design of the Axon Mini is really striking with its triangular pattern found in most parts of the phone. There is also an almost faux leather-like material with a subtle stitching on the back of the phone which gives it a classy look. All in all the design of the Axon Mini is really appealing to the eyes.
And under the hood, the phone is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8939v2 Snapdragon 616 quad-core processor coupled with the Adreno 405 GPU. The processor is backed up by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded via a Micro-SD card up to 256GB. The phone also has a hybrid sim card slot meaning you can either use 2 sim cards or 1 sim card and a Mico-SD card as mentioned earlier.
Hardware wise the Axon Mini stands out of the crowd with its pressure sensitive display or force touch technology. This not only helps you better interact with your smartphone but also brings useful features 3-D Password and pop up shortcuts.The phone also has a fingerprint scanner and a front-firing speaker for louder audio. And speaking of audio, it has a built in DAC for “studio-quality” sound. These all are welcomed addition to the Axon Mini which adds more value to the phone.
The Mini also houses a 13MP rear camera with a LED flash and an 8MP front camera for all your selfies. In the software side of things, the phone runs 5.1.1 Lollipop with ZTE own custom skin, MiFavor UI 3.2 layered on top of it. Connectivity wise the phone supports WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB 2.0. The phone also has a slew of sensors like accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass. And finally, powering this device is a non-user removable battery 2800 mAh battery. This will definitely be enough to get users through a full day of moderate to heavy usage without any issues.
Overall, the ZTE Axon Mini looks to be an amazing smartphone with top-notch specs and some welcome addition like a force touch display and a high-res audio DAC.
